I'm going to give it a try. Should I wear what is similar to what I wore to regular rush for the nights?

You do know they aren't a dumping ground for all the girls that got cut right? And you will look stupid if you wear the same kind of outfit. Nice shorts and tops should be fine.

Dumping ground? I am going to chalk that up to you having a bad Monday.

Dear unsure, go for it! And go for whatever you think will interest you at Bama. And dress like you. Be you. I am not sure about the dress preference but I am sure whatever you wore for reg rush is very nice.

Could you be more rude? Yes I did get cut but so did plenty of AMAZING girls I've gotten to know over the past week. Whats wrong with still trying to find a sisterhood?

Great attitude. You are right SO MANY MANY girls got cut. Alot of them were liked by actives but politics, connections and the insane amount of girls who rushed caused plenty of cuts. If fact there were a few girls my house cut that I'm finding out ended up not getting a bid at all, its a shame. Here is the thing about college and Bama. It is time to explore all your interests. If SDT isn't right or spring or formal next fall doesn't work out. You will be fine. It seems like being a GDI is a death sentence, it really isn't. And since you are a girl you will still go to your fair share of frat parties. Also all those amazing girls will also be looking for friends and way to get involved, plus the other half of the freshman class who didn't even rush. Have fun, enjoy college and football season is coming up. ROLL TIDE

Good luck to Melody and OP. You sound like great girls that any house would be lucky to have! And if It doesn't work out with SDT, I know you will find a place doing other things.

They're sweet girls, but be aware that it's not going to be the same experience as being in a chapter that does formal recruitment. They have a very limited social calendar consisting mostly of the off-campus/faith-based/cultural-interest/professional GLOs. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but make sure you're OK with it before you commit.

Just to clarify -- if you just want a sisterhood and you don't care about being "relevant," none of this matters. Plus, with SDT it's easier to get to know all of your sisters.

Best wishes to SDT and their PNMs for an awesome recruitment!

When in down, dress up a little more. Same thing you work to ice water teas should be fine.

How did it go? Saw their pic on Instagram, some cute girls. Were they nice?

Very nice girls! I actually felt very uncomfortable at first. It was awkward and I wanted to leave so bad. After we left and went to the restaurant, it was a lot more chill and I talked to more girls, which made me feel more comfortable. Ready for tomorrow.
