how is spring rush?

If you're going by tent talk and GR rankings, the houses you don't like are probably going to be the ones who need to do informal fall or spring to get their numbers back up. Most houses will just have a small handful of COB bids throughout the year that go to girls who are already bff's with the actives.

Your best chance to become Greek at Bama is to open your mind to loving- or at least liking- all of the houses you have left. It usually doesn't go better sophomore year. Many houses have "one cut, always cut" policies, you have no idea if you will be able to get a 3.5+ GPA in college, etc. Just being honest.

"Spring Rush" really isn't a thing. Some houses may have a few openings but those spots are filled discreetly. It's not like fall formal rush where anyone can sign up and go through the process.

You have 4 chances left to become Greek. Make the most of them now while you have the opportunity. Spring rush/COB is more of a wish than a plan.

If you have 4 houses and don't like all of them I'm going to assume the ones you're not so sure about are the ones talked about on here as being "bottom." Newsflash: being greek is being greek and no one gives a crap what your letters are once you're in except for a handful of bit-chy girls on Greekrank. If you let those girls define your time here then I feel bad for you. And for the record, those "bottom" houses are the only ones that MIGHT spring rush, might, so don't think you're some special person who will magically work her way into a house that cut her already in the spring. You get one chance to go greek, so if you're offered a spot, take it and smile about it because a lot of hopeful girls have already been released.

I totally get that you're upset about being cut by your top 2. That's understandable, but it's time to erase them from your mind. For whatever reason, they thought other girls would be better fits for their house. While this hurts now, you have to just let it go, bc nothing is going to change it. Instead, focus on the 4 amazing houses that saw something special in you, that believe you could potentially bring something awesome to their sisterhood. These 4 houses cut other girls (who might have had these as their faves) to keep you. This is your best, and likely only, chance to be Greek at UA. Do NOT rely on Spring...the houses most likely to participate are prob the same ones you have now, and you could miss out on a whole semester of fun and sisterhood if you drop out now. There are 400 women in every house, and there will be 140-150 girls in your PC. If you make an effort, I promise that you can find your best friends, future bridesmaids, and sisters for life in ANY house. There are wonderful girls that you will have things in common with in every house. All of our houses are amazing. Please give these 4 houses a chance; after all, they took a chance on you.

All houses here are great, seriously! If you can't open your eyes and realize that you can find friends in any house then you aren't meant to be Greek.

What makes you think that a house that doesn't want you now will want you in six months? Keep an open mind you may be surprised

4 houses is good! Read the post above from the sweet girl who had two houses left and then got dropped. She would LOVE to be in your shoes!

Honestly, the girls that talk crap about "bottom houses" on here are most likely girls who would've been just fine in that house but they were so butt hurt they got dropped by "xyz old row" house that they only focus on that and don't try to joint the sisterhood and end up dropping. I'm in one of the so called "bottom houses" and I can say that it is what you make out of it. If you're going to sit around on bid day and days to come complaining and griping, then obviously you're going to have a horrible time but if you're just grateful for the chance to meet 300 awesome girls then you'll have an amazing experience!
