I understand that it's an nice community but I genuinely don't get what makes it so great.... Is it just the connections? Plenty of girls come from areas much more affluent than any where in Alabama

Connections, connections, connections!

Not only do MB girls know a lot of actives, their recs are written by influential alumnae who have "pull" at Bama (i.e., if they write "top rushee- must pledge!" on a Tri Delt rec, there is no way Tri Delt is going to cut that girl) and they also are more likely to be chapter legacies.

Being a chapter legacy is a key and mb/mobile kids have that way more than others--and they been going to the chapter and ball games since junior high
