picture of me with an active on a sorority's tumbl
by: PNMHey, y'all! So I'm really excited about rush and can't wait to meet everyone! I've done everything I can think of to prepare (2+ recs to every house, picked out my outfits, my resume is good etc) but I have a question about something that's really bothering me. I am a legacy to a few houses, and I know girls in almost every house; I would be happy to accept a bid from anyone. But I was looking through one sorority's tumblr, a house that I love and have a lot of friends in, and I noticed a picture of me with an active from this summer on it. I've known this active for a long time, so it's not like they were dirty rushing or whatever, but I'm really confused about why they put it up on their tumblr. Idk if the sister in charge of that didn't realize that I'm not a sister (yet anyway) or what. I'm afraid that other houses might think that I'm dead set on going this house because of the picture, though. What should I do?

What I would do is take a screenshot and send it to one of your close friends in the house while making it super casual. "Kinda feel famous now" or something. Chances are that sister hasn't seen it either and will tell her social media chair who will take the picture down. Anyway, most sororities aren't looking through other chapter's tumblrs anyway.

@me is giving good advice. That house is branding you and this will hurt you with other houses. Especially other houses that are their chief rivals. These are also probably the other hoses you are interested in. Old trick. Like a kiss by the mafia. Mixed blessing. These things happen. Sad thing is they may cut you on first round then you are in free fall. But prob too late to get it taken down without being awkward. Worth a shot though.
