So you're going through formal recruitment in a week, right? As a junior transfer, it's not totally impossible to get a bid, but you'll definitely have a much harder time than a freshman or sophomore. If you're in a 5 year program and/or will be at school longer than 2 years, definitely mention that...houses want girls that are going to be able to contribute as much as possible for as long as possible. Also, it depends on where you're transferring from and what your college GPA is-it needs to be very impressive. Hopefully you have a lot of campus involvement/community service, too. Recs are also VERY important. So is your appearance and ability to have fun, natural conversations with actives. There is a separate upperclassmen quota, which should help you, but not all houses choose to fill the UC quota, so keep that in mind. Basically, you have a chance if you're totally outstanding, but keep an open mind and be willing to accept a bid from ANY group. Being Greek at UA is an honor, and all of our houses are amazing, so if you're lucky enough to get a bid, remember that. Good luck!!

You need let chapters know why/how you wish to be involved. They don't really need another junior member that's just here for the ride.

Hopefully you can express how you have really engaged in activities/ leadership in other groups in the past and plan to be very involved here.
