costs
by: pnmWhich sororities are the cheapest/most expensive? Will the sororities tell you the cost of their specific chapter during recruitment? I'm lucky that my parents are able to pay for it no matter what, but if I'm struggling to choose between 2 houses after pref, it would be nice to know if one will be $2k cheaper than another.

If it's down to two sororities, honestly they have to put you high enough in their list for you to get a bid from them. So if you want to be in a sorority at Bama you have to be ready for either/any chapter that chooses you.
Contact Panhellenic if you are truly concerned about affording Greek life.

Many houses have their pricing information online although some do not. Overall Alpha Chi is the most expensive. So if you aren't able to drop $5k/ semester don't even rank them. I hear Phi Mu is pretty expensive as well. Pi Phi is known for being the least expensive and now with them not having a house I'm sure it's going to be very cheap. Although you won't have a house, no meals, ect......

My daughter is an alpha chi and her dues freshmen year (last year) were around 4-5k the first semester and 4k the second semester. It clearly says on the AXO website what the dues are. They are clearly posted the correct amount on their website because they don't want girls to fall in love with the house and then not be able to afford it. Please quite spreading false rumors.
