which sororities are the hardest to get into?

The thing with the old row houses is they have big in state draw and all the inside members already have lists of who they want, so hard for true outsiders to get a bid. The new row houses are more open to outsiders bc they were mostly outsiders themselves, once. So if you are not already connected some how you most likely end up new row. Does not make new better or worse, or old row better or worse, just different sets of girls.

Maybe 70% of Old Row will consist of top in-state and Deep South + Texas girls. The rest will be filled with top OOS girls. "Desirable" Old Row like Tri Delt, XO, AXO, to some extent may be 70/30, all "top" PNMs, Kappa/KD with 70% top Southern girls, 20% average Southern, 10% top OOS, PM 50/50 top girls, AGD 50% top Southern, 20% top OOS, 30% average Southern.
"Desirable" New Row (Zeta, Pi Phi) might have 70% top OOS, 15% top Southern, 15% average OOS. ADPi is also sought-after (maybe not as much as the aforementioned) but it might be like 60% top OOS, 20% top Southern (usually legacies from strong non-AL areas) 20% average OOS). For everyone else, if they get a top PNM it might be because she is a legacy or has some really strong tie to the house. The rest of the average and lower PNMs get filtered throughout all the other houses. No real "bottom" house here. Just a lot of "average" houses. And of course, our average beats the best at most other schools.

@well, I like your response above very much. How would you describe difference between top/average oos? Is it just the extent they are sought after by the houses and getting continuing invites? Or is it something else like grades or looks or activities?

Agd and KD took a ton of grade risks in last year's pledge classes so this is pretty inaccurate ...

Yeah, but they're the extremely wealthy and well connected girls. You don't just get into a higher house with bad grades randomly. Especially for KD.

I like agd. But I know some of those agd grade risks from last year. They are not wealthy. Far from it. Just wanted to correct @Active on that. :)

@4 nails it pretty well. Point I would remind about is every house has great girls and awesome opportunities and are worthwhile. in every house you have to invest of yourself to really get the most out of the experience. What will click for you may not click for new friends you make during recruitments. But stay friends and make friends everywhere.
