by: PnmFrom what I can tell DZ and Gamma Phi are very similar and Aopi and theta are similar? Is this fairly accurate? I am a legacy to one of these houses but visited all 4 during spring teas. I loved two but hated the others

You are way off on dz and Gphi imo.
I would say Gphi is like dg.
I would say AOII is a cross between Theta, ADPi.
I would say DZ is sorta a total mix of everything but closest to ADPi and AOII.
But this all is based on my own experience in recruitment and who I know from around and home. Each house has all kinds of girls and it is hard to generalize.

Actually they were for me based on what I experienced during teas and recruitment last year. Would put dg in that mix too.

DG and ADPi are both big self-rankers, kind of random mix of girls. They are actually super into managing their sorority image.

These houses are all different. I would also say that your experience from the tea is likely to be very different from recruitment. Theta and AOII and ADPi are nothing alike, other than they all have high grades. Theta is overall more northern or girls from far away. DZ and AOII are both more southern houses. ADPi has a complete mix of girls, really they all do though, just ADPi has more than most. GPhi got a positive bump this year from having a new house, they are nice girls overall. DZ and GPhi have among the worst grades, so if you are a grade risk, your options are good there. DZ and AOII are both getting new houses so they will see positive bumps for sure next year, not sure about this year, but hey, they both have legit swing houses so they should be fine. Look, don't generalize, go into recruitment with an open mind. You are lucky to get a bid from any house.

I agree about AOII and Theta being basically the same but with AOII being more southern religious and theta a little more northern and academic. Both great houses.

Their houses are right next to each other but definitely not the same. They don't even cross rush very much. AOII is more southern with quite a few crimsonettes, cheerleaders, much more chill than Theta. AOII 's often are in relationships, have the ring by spring thing going, so they don't hit the parties as much. Thetas are usually super driven, intense girls, probably tops in their graduating class, quirky non-conformists. That's not a knock against theta, think that's why they never joined the machine.

DG is like gphi but AOII and theta are pretty much the same the rest is kinda inaccurate. DZ is kinda on its own.
