by: PnmbamaAm I really screwed if I have a low gpa if it's not good enough will they still consider me if they really like me?? Hypothetically speaking if they adore me and I know some of them but my gpa isn't there will they still cut me first round?? Or do they let some girls in?

You will 100% not be an alpha chi, chi o, adpi, or agd. All of those are very strict on grades and some even have specific grade cut-off policies. No exceptions. Keep your options open and be grateful if a house is interested in you. Panhellenic has a green/yellow/red zone for a reason. If you're below a 3.0 weighted coming out of high school, maybe you should wait until sophomore year. With so many PNM's rushing, you would be LUCKY to receive a bid anywhere. I don't mean to completely knock you down, but sugar coating it for you won't help you when you're heartbroken during rush.

^ these usually only take five or so grade exceptions, and those usually go to friends of girls in the house.

Tri delt, phi mu, and pi phi also do a good amount of cuts on grades too
