late recs?

At this point in the summer, am I going to be at a disadvantage because I am just now getting recs in? It was a big decision for me to rush so it took me a while to decide :(

With some houses, yes you could be at a disadvantage.

Concentrate on getting recs and politely asking for writers to submit recs for you at their most earliest convenience. Have all your info ready to instantly share with them. Ask them if they are available to help you in the next week. Thank them with note and phone calls.

Move forward swiftly and be open and respectful to all houses. Good luck!

Will houses drop you automatically if you don't have one? Some people told me they'd write them but never actually confirmed that they finished the rec (even when I asked) so I don't know how many I actually have :/

some might. but if you have other strengths that the house is looking for they might overlook the fact that you don't have recs. i do know some girls who didn't have recs for any houses and still got bids. but you should really try to have at least one rec for every house
