Not sure how selective alpha phi is in terms of looks, my roommate who is crazy got a cob bid from them. She's not cute by any standard, very chubby, dont think she had a date all year. Maybe they were desperate? Anyway I wouldn't generalize, know lots of cute A phi's, but some definitely not cute chubby girls as well.

I think the first one was fine, although I feel like grades are a priority in most houses. Just because a house may not get great grades doesn't mean that's not a focus during rush

It depends on what you mean by selective. If it's grades, then theta and aopi are among the more selective, while dg, dz, gphi, aphi and zeta are among the least selective. If it's looks, some would say that zeta and aphi are more selective. I think all of them did COB, except for aopi.

I can't recall if pi phi did. Literally almost all of new row did COB plus Phi Mu.

The poster was correct in who did COB with the exception of Zeta. As far as I know, Zeta didn't participate in COB. I know someone that went to a COB party for Pi Phi, but it was in April and I don't know if they gave out any bids.

The COB poster is correct with the list, I think. I didn't know for sure about Zeta, but they def did cob the year before. It's not a negative on a sorority if they do COB, it usually means they had some fall graduates or maybe they had some girls from the pledge class drop or not make grades. They don't have to extend bids to girls during COB unless they really like them and feel they are a good fit. You only get invited to a COB event if you have friends in the sorority, so you are pre-screened. COB girls are actually better known by actives than the girls that are given bids during fall rush.

ZTA did not do COB this year. Phi Mu did so on a very, very limited basis (like three bids to close friends that were totally already hooked up). PBP may have had a couple, if any. Don't know about the others.
