by: NorthenerI've heard that a lot of southern people don't like people from the north. (Mainly just girls). I've heard a lot of bad things a lot it but idk! What is everybody thoughts? What are the girls like here? I would like to rush but don't know how that process would be. SOS please help! I need to decide where to go to college!!!

Mostly, if a southern person dislikes someone from the north, there's a reason. So many of the northern kids come down here and complain about how much they hate the south and how the north is sooooo much better and how much they can't live without bagels, as if they didn't choose this school. So it's the superiority complex that that southern kids judge, not the fact that they're from the north. As for rush, well. The first comment is right. Obviously a girl who comes in with lots of connections is going to have a better rush.

I disagree. I was mugged and had my laptop stolen. Lots of crime outside of campus, other side of 15th isn't that nice at all. I love the ttown charm and the South but Tuscaloosa definitely has a crime problem, lack of appropriate resources, and is underdeveloped (lacks good restaurants, etc). Sorry but Five and Depalmas are just ok they aren't anything special.
