I'm guessing you're coming to one of the many big upcoming rush parties in the next couple weeks here at UA. Yes, these are rush events, but they are also parties for the actives and will be full of girls and actives friends, etc. It's more an example to get a look at the fraternity in action and how the brothers interact, the girls they hangout with, etc. You're going to probably shotgun some beers with fellow rushees, and the rush chair should introduce you to people. Still, make a point to try and go around meeting as many actives as possible. Look around and see if these are guys you want to be a part of, but also realize you will be closest with your pbros, these older guys are gonna hate you next fall hahaha.

First, a nice looking chick magnet guy will come up to you, stick out his hand, and say "Eric Stratton, rush chair. Damn glad to meet ya."
Then you'll be shown around a little, shake hands with a few more bros. A little group of tall, thin blond girls wearing hardly anything will be introduced as "little sisters." They'll giggle and look at you like you're dooky on the bottoms of their shoes.
Then you'll be shown into a special room with couches and a bunch of guys. Your host will say, "Rushee, meet Mohammet, Jugdish, Sidney and Clayton. Grab a seat and make yourselves at home. Don't be shy about helping yourselves to punch and cookies."

You'll meet a lot of people, from actives to sorority girls and fellow rushees. As far as the partying is concerned, you'll be listening to very loud music (live and just on the speakers), drinking a TON of beer (either shotgunning, funneling, or regular drinking), and with the ultimate goal to get a feel for the fraternity and also to impress them.

I'd advise you to try and go slow on the alcohol, Saturday Darty drinking can hit you a lot faster than you know, and you want to be sober enough to not make a fool out of yourself. There'll be so many people there it might be difficult to find the actives and other rushees you know, so be aware of that. Otherwise, have a fun time. We want you to enjoy it, but we're also trying to enjoy it ourselves.
