tea attire

What to wear tonight and to tomorrow? I was wearing a casual dress and wedges but my friends are wearing rompers or jeans and are saying that casual means no dresses. When I hear the word "tea" even causal I think of a dress. What do you actives recommend?

ps -- a romper might can be fine (not too short...) but I would shy away from jeans for a tea.

Romper may be too short, better to be a bit overdressed than under.
