Hey y'all! I got accepted to Bama and I really want to be a part of greek life, but I'm unsure about the financial obligations for both Bama and sorority life. Do you think the debt is worth it? Thanks!

Do not go into debt (loans, etc) to join or sorority or frat. It's for wealthy or at least for people who can pay as you go while working. Promise!

Congrats on your acceptance! It's a great school with tons of opportunity.

I am in a sorority. I work in the summers and Christmas season to earn cash for my spending money and chapter fees, tshirts, etc. There are a lot of girls in my chapter that come from wealthy families and they don't get it -- that I pay for things by working. And there are other girls like me that don't have a lot of cash. It's okay with me. I love my chapter. And most of the girls aren't snobby about things. I'm in a new row sorority. That may make a difference. I don't know.
