how do you get close with your sorority?

by: Future pnm

Pledge classes are 100+ and every sorority has hundreds of girls. How do you get to know them all? How do you even get close with your pledge class? Also what is the pledge process like for sororites? What do you do for big little week?

How do you get close?
The fastest way is to Volunteer to be on committees that do things together.
Offer to help others.

You try hard or you just don't. I'm a very introverted person and two semesters later I still don't have a single close friend in my sorority.

Sororities aren't for everyone. If you are introverted like #2 above and not willing to work to get to know people, you're not going to get much out of your experience. I'd say this is especially true for "outsiders." By that I mean oos girls or girls from small towns without a built in friend group. Y'all are going to have to work harder and that's just the truth. Everybody gets a big/little, but you have to work even on those relationships to make them strong.

not a problem, because if you don't already know most of the girls in a chapter from camp/home/whatever, you're not getting a bid

Not true. You'll get a bid if you're not one of those closed-minded snits that thinks she's too good for any of the houses that want her. Most girls get bids, it's just whether you have enough self-esteem to take a bid from a new row house. It's interesting, but the new row houses and really all the ones with a big oos presence are the ones where girls seem the most happy because they have gotten to know their classes.
