Kappa is a string sorority. Not sure why Kappa and KD seem like sibling rivals? Maybe they are just too much alike. Please someone explain.

Part of it comes I think from the fact that Kappa is not one of the oldest sororities on campus, but "bought" the Old Row sponsorship from another house. KD takes the Old Row title very seriously, whereas Kappa doesn't really. To make matters worse, the sororities have a tenuous relationship. There are rumors that KD actives are told to "look out" for evidence of Kappas on social media, to the point where Nationals got involved. In the end, these two need to just bury the hatchet. Kappa is historically one of the stronger sororities at U of A along with Tri Delta, Chi Omega and Kappa Delta (known as the core Four) With that said, ALL sororities have awesome girls and it really comes down to the relationships a young lady makes, lifetime friends, philanthropy and leadership opportunities. In an other's words: Pledge where you feel like you belong! Successful women come from every one of these sororities plus you want to have a good college experience. All of them are good
