How would you describe the sororities?

I know some very basic stereotypes but am going to rush and do not have siblings or older friends to explain these to me. I am going into rush with a very open mind so would appreciate descriptions on all and not just the more known ones. This is list someone gave me but if anything missing please add too.

The top 3 houses prefers girls they know from their private high schools, summer camps, or hometowns. During recruitment the software they use can and will cut you by zip code. If you are are not in the the Top 1% at Cornell do not waste your time.
