Real Advice for Freshman Regarding "Ranks"

The bottom line is that whether or not people admit it, tier rank ~somewhat~ matters. Being #5 or #7 or whatever is completely subjective, so don't listen to that. And yeah, Sig Chi may not have the same mixing schedule as Chi Phi. But if you want to have frequent mixers with relevant sororities, there are truly only a select number of houses that offer that.
DESPITE this, nitpicking over Sig Chi vs. AD, or DU vs. Chi Psi, or DX vs. ZBT, or Chi Phi vs. Lambda is IRRELEVANT. They all have relatively similar social schedules, and you should base your decision on the brothers in the house.
