How big is greek life here?

Is greek life big here? Are there a lot of frats and is that important for social life?

real answer:
greek life is absolutely fundamental to cornell. look at what % of the student body is in it and how it has a grip over the student population’s weekend plans. i’d say 70-75% of the social scene at cornell is frats, 20% bars, 5-10% other small parties/gatherings.
if you’re a girl you’ll get into a lot of frat parties regardless. if you’re a guy, however, the reality is that unless you’re hella well connected, getting into parties besides opens will be tough.
