How to know who is throwing?

Hi! I’m an incoming freshman and I’m scared I won’t know what parties are throwing during the first few weeks of school. I’m not that well-connected and don’t really see myself as having the type of friends to know where the parties are. Given this, is there anyway of knowing beforehand who is throwing a given night?
