only left w bottom tier srats, advice?

i had mid and upper mid srats but they all dropped me, now i’m left with a couple bottom srats. at this point is it better to not even join then joining a bottom house? the biggest reason i wanted to rush was for social events and partying, and i don’t think i’d really get that in a bottom srat.
ALSO how does cob work? if i just drop now and stop attending can i continue and try to join a house that has cob later this spring or even next fall for a mid house?
