Goes beyond old clout. All the kids in the top/upper frats have so many pre-existing relationships that it will take a lot to kill that clout. All the prep boarding school guys and girls p much join the top frats and the C4 sororities. So basically your friends from hs are already there. A lot of kids I knew said their parents knew a lot of other parents who were in top frats/srats whose kids are now in those top frats/srats.
