Rankings in 2011?

by: frosh

Just out of curiosity, what were the house rankings before SAE got kicked off and most of the houses that got kicked off this decade were still active?

completely different Chi Psi from today, no remnants from that class are here today (in the sense that the kids today were not picked by kids back then vice versa)

Just 10 years ago, most kids at Cornell were wealthy Northeast private/boarding-schoolers- even more than today (the use of internet applications through the CommonApp changed this at many top-colleges).

So there were many more fraternities that resemble SigmaPhi and AlphaDelt, with the tennis players in SAE, lacrosse players in ATO, and very wealthy/fratty guys in ChiPsi & PsiU being the big4 back in the days.

Can tennis players still join fraternities?

Nah, I don’t think so.
As far as I know only squash, football, baseball, and swimming (maybe not anymore) join fraternities. Lotta athletes are banned (especially hockey and lax) due to the whole ATO incident where the coach was fired and the early part of the season was cancelled (program was top-5 nationally).

There are no members of the squash team in Sig Phi and only one in Sig Pi. There are several in DU though
