2. Are you a frosh/underclassmen? Just by looking at FAANG recruitment, you’d realize your ranks are just wrong

yah but not just FAANG, there's other things people do other than going into software.... besides, FAANG recruitment numbers are higher at schools with higher populations lol, which doesn't mean anything statistically. And some schools like Michigan and UIUC produce workhorses of FAANG while other schools like Stanford/Harvard/Princeton/Penn/CMU produce the eventual leaders... Cornell is probably the best mix of the two types after Caltech

Caltech is quite arguably the best engineering and physics program in the nation rivaled only by MIT, Princeton and Stanford... yet they have almost very little representation in FAANG or NASA/SpaceX/Boeing or quite frankly any industry or academic institution.... why? because they are a super small school.. the logic of using recruitment numbers or industry representation is flawed, didn't expect that to be used by a Cornell undergrad lol
