What's the Line of Relevancy?

by: geed

I want to rush a frat that is socially relevant and has a solid mixing schedule. I've seen some posts that say all the houses mid and above are relevant, but some that say only houses Lambda and above are relevant. What's the actual line of social relevancy below which a frat isn't relevant?

Don’t rush to feel validated bc someone online said your house is “relevant”. There aren’t even mixers going on rn and they don’t even matter after your sophomore year really

I'm not trying to feel validated, I just want to be in a house that has stuff going on socially as in mixers and stuff. I don't care abt ranks I'm just a social person and want to end up in a house with a solid schedule.

Like someone else said, houses mid and above have mixers at least twice a week

The line of relevancy changes for person to person. For instance, most of C4 thinks the only frats worth anything are Sig Chi, Sig Phi, DU, AD, and Sig Pi. Others may have different perceptions. Common consensus is that a "relevant" house is simply a house that has a consistent (2x minimum) a week mixing schedules with sorority houses from lower mid (AXO, KD, AEPHi) or above. That generally is just houses from mid (Phi Tau, PSK, Pike, PiKapp) and above. Houses from mid and above generally have strong sorority relations with a variety of sororities from lower mid and above.
