Be honest- how is greeklife?
by: in factSince the last post exposing the toxicity of gl got taken down it would be appreciated if ppl could come forward about their bad or even good times in gl? hiding the truth does nothing for the community and is pretty much the reason most girls drop their jr year.

just from the fact that this is Cornell, people are inherently less enthusiastic about greek-life and much more focused on grades, jobs, internships, etc.
If everyone was being honest, most people in greek-life will tell you its either a decent way to make friends/hangout in their free time or its just superficial way to party (particularly true of sororities). Pretty much every senior-girl I know in AZD dropped out, and that says a lot about the lack of genuine-connection people feel to their sororities and sometimes fraternities too.

Do not speak for sororities at all in this. Frats are just inherently closer and so much more genuine connections. First off they are significantly smaller. Mid and above frats range from 65-80 bros with PCs generally ranging from 13-25 which makes it so much easier to bond and get closer than sororities who have like 40 ppl per class. Secondly, guys are just less complex and the brohood aspect of frats persists throughout your time. I am still close with the current sophomores as a senior and am not disconnected with my frat at all.

For sororities at least most people deactivate late junior year or senior year cause by that point you’ve gotten all the benefits you can get
