PIKE Vibe?

Basically very typical cornell dudes who are chill and like to throwdown. Conventionally can be seen as the most "fratty" of the mid tier frats they compete for rushes with (Pi Kapp, Phi Tau, PSK, formally Fiji before Fiji died).
Big difference between them and the others is that they give out a crap ton of bids in comparison and go for quantity at times which has a lot of questionable dudes amidst a lot of the cool guys in their house. In turn leads to a weaker brotherhood.

How does PIKE compare to PiKapp? Which frats have the most rowdy vibe out of the mid tier?

Pike, especially the sporty/Rugby side, by far. PiKapp is also kind of disjointed but they're rowdiest kids aren't anywhere close to that of the rugby guys. Having said that, the soft kids in both frats kill the overall vibes and mute the rowdiness compared to upper frats like ChiPhi, DU, SX, PhiPhsi(rip) etc that consistently party hard.

Out of the four known mid tier frats (PiKapp, Pike, Phi Tau, PSK) PiKapp is probably the most conventionally fratty house, but Pike has the most bros which helps make it more hype and "Rowdy" at events. Generally PiKapp will cross rush more with Pike and with Lambda while Pike will cross rush more with PiKapp, Phi Tau and PSK.

If you're rowdy and rushing mid tier, you should check out both PiKapp and Pike. While none of the mid tier is truly rowdy, PSK and PhiTau are significantly more tame. Also if you check out upper frats, look into Lambda (historically quite rowdy), ChiPhi, and TDX. SX & DU are very rowdy too, but you probably won't get a bid at this point if you're meeting them for the first time during rush.

ChiPsi's on the lower end. Their newest PC is rowdier, but still softer than say ChiPhi's or TDX's. If they start taking kids that would've went to PhiPsi then they might become a rowdier house.

What everyone else said. Basically, if they kept to only Rugby and club sports brothers they might be an upper mid frat, but instead half of their frat is filler weird kids purely for the sake of #s and they're stuck in mid. Half the frat is broey -- think Lambda, ChiPhi like, and the other half is weird or soft, think PhiDelt or PhiTau. Similar issues that Fiji and SigEp had where they gave out so many bids that the brotherhood was disjointed and all of the cool brothers were completely offset by kids that should be in lower or bottom tier. For Pike to rise they'd have to dramatically change their rush approach, which they've failed to do since they returned to campus ~2013.

adding onto this I think its probably what makes them the mixed bag in terms of vibes of their tier and the houses they cross rush with. They are a mix of being soft and fratty and can't seem to get a set image. The houses they will cross rush with, PiKapp is very conventional fratty/hardo with the same average cornell kind of guys whereas PSK is softer, less fratty guys, and Phi Tau is the soft, nice guys where dudes join if they want a chill frat experience.

Quantity strategy is a hit or miss thgh. I think in their PC 2019, they gave like 40 bids and got 26 compared to PSK and Phi Tau both taking like 15 (albeit both gave out like 25-30 bids in comparison). But last year lost some rushes to Fiji, Lambda etc and ended with 16 while giving out significantly more bids than PSK who took the same amount of dudes.
