Should I choose based on clout or who I vibe more w/
by: cobCOB here, pls help. Got bids from 2 houses, one mid/lower mid, the other upper. Rlly like the guys in the mid/lower house, but their sorority relations arent as strong. Advice?

ultimately youre picking the guys youre going to be hanging out with for the rest of your time at Cornell, so its important to pick a house you really vibe with
mixers are overrated, anyone honest will tell you they're awkward between pretty much every house. i wouldnt pick a house just based on who they mix with, but if all you want from greek life is clout then go with the upper house i guess, otherwise go with the mid/lower mid

Definitely go by fit. You want to have good memories with people who you care about and who care about you. No one outside of the bubble of Greeklife cares about frat clout. If anything, you’re more likely to go on sopro and get kicked off by being in an upper house at this point

Always choose by clout. It's impossible to judge frat vibe during rush. Every frat seems fun and chill during recruitment, but off-season you'll find out that most of that was fake brotherhood. It's even worse for sororities.
Choose the house with the better rep. Better to at least mix with better sororities when the mirage of brotherhood evaporates next month.

Good advice. If you got game you got game, joining a house won't change whether you do or don't
