how does rushing work

I’m an incoming freshman guy and i have no idea how rushing works. i heard it’s different with fraternities too. what should i expect?

also is it fall rush at Cornell?

some houses do participate in fall rush but freshmen are not allowed to rush until the spring semester

Basically there’s open houses the first few days and anyone can show up and just talk to brothers and then it transitions to more and more exclusive invite only events. You can google the schedule for past years to see specifics.
