legacy in rush, will i get dropped
by: posti am a 2 generation cornell legacy at alpha phi, but from what this website says, idk if it is the house for me... if the other houses know that i am a legacy will they automatically drop me/how can i make it clear that i am very much open to other houses?

Political answer- of course not! Cornell sororities are incredibly supportive and inclusive and will accept you as long as you all get along !!
Correct answer- Sororities are catty and backhanded, some srats may drop you just cuz of being an aphi legacy. Go for who you want but don't be surprised if you don't get them is all. Srat recruitment is a messy mess.

Other sororities won’t care in early rounds. If you have Aphi and another exclusive sorority in the end the other one may drop you if they think you want to join aphi b/c legacy.
Also to show other houses interest don’t name drop that you’re a double legacy at Cornell aphi when they ask why you want to join a house. Just say you want to join to meet new people
Also you are automatically called back for second round if you’re a legacy but if they sense you’re not a good fit they will cut you then
Also join a sorority you actually feel like you’ll be happy in- continuing your family’s legacy or whatever is not worth being in a srat you’re miserable in. Sororities are expensive and a decent time commitment

also as someone who's been on the other side of recruitment, most girls in the house will have no idea that you're a legacy for alpha phi. so in a lot of cases, the girls scoring/voting for you either won't even know or won't mind if they like you anyway
