I’m a senior now and I rushed my freshman year. I always wanted to be in a sorority and had 0 doubts about it. Come rush week, I got dropped by all sororities that I saw myself at. I was devastated seeing my friends post bid day pics with their new sisters. BUT, I got a job and made new friends and ended up having the best semester ever. And every semester since has been a blast socially.
If you are a fun girl with friends and connections in Greek life, I guarantee you that you WILL have a social life. You WILL get to party just as much as sorority girls. You WILL find places to go to on slope day. You WILL be involved. And if you’re worried you don’t have those connections, trust me, you can make them! I get to go to date nights, formals, and even mixers (as a sweetheart at a frat). You will be okay!
As I’m set to graduate, I have so many amazing memories to look back on that I’ll cherish forever. To say that I had an incredible college experience would be an understatement. You can be very very happy both with or without Greek life. Don’t put yourself in the mindset I had right after I got dropped. Look around you! We’re at one of the world’s best institutions surrounded by incredible people. You’ve got this!

yeah how do you get invited to mixers and slope day parties? do u just ask ur greek friends?

I know this is going to sound like a cop out, but there are people in Greek life in every single club/ org I’m in and they’re really different ones, so really go for whatever actually interests you!
And yeah get to go to events from friends inviting me/ being a sweetheart :)
