dropped rush- any other sophomores?
by: sophomorei’m a sophomore who ended up getting dropped this morning. devastating. is life without greek life that bad? any chance of COB? i really feel heartbroken. any words of encouragement?

Usually a handful of chapters do COB every year so yes you will have a chance. Don't think that being dropped is a reflection of you having nothing to offer bc I'm very sure you do! IMO I think COB is sometimes better than formal rush bc you get to talk to girls for longer periods of time instead of adhering to timing and it's usually while doing a fun activity or dinner at their house.

so not all houses make it known that they are doing COB bc it has the stigma that they didn't get enough girls during formal rush but I would start by following houses in social media bc they might post something about it. Also, keep in touch with friends who are in sororities and they can let you know about their houses (and give you a recommendation)

and people of all years do COB so don't worry about being a sophomore. I know juniors and even a senior who has done it and they were able to have a social life before joining their houses through various clubs and friends who are in Greek life.
