should i bother rushing a sorority as a non-white person?

not white but kind of want to rush. I know it's notoriously pretty white girls and I do not fit that description. the only thing I really have going for me is that my family income is decent and I can hold a conversation pretty well. should I even bother rushing?

you should definitely rush and see for yourself. Some sororities are more diverse than others, although I don’t think any are as diverse as the one person commented, but most seem to be trying to change that

If you end up rushing, know that certain houses will cut you because you don’t fit into their idea of a member of their house. There will also be houses that call you back to be the token minority of your pc. And there will be some houses who will value you and your diversity.

Not to call people out, but if you are a black woman or other POC rushing (but especially a black woman), just know that it will be easy to feel isolated or alone rushing houses like sdt or kkg or aphi.
