33% of Cornell students are in Greek life. They live in mansions, the parties are out of this world, and the guys in the upper middle tiers and above are so attractive. Wish there were more sororities so there would be more diversity amongst them, but that's just the way it is.

About a third of students are in Greek life - but most students that want to be social are in greek life, so if you want to party (especially if you're a guy) then you should rush. Mixing is very exclusive and can be elitist among the upper tiers. Brotherhood and sisterhood depends on what fraternity or sorority you're in - generally there's more brotherhood in fraternities than sororities. Sororities are more likely to be catty, especially in the top tier. Every single fraternity except for one hazes, some worse than others. Cornell is trying to crack down on this, so there is a lot of secrecy around hazing as fraternity brothers are forbidden from talking about it. Some of the hazing can be seen as light-hearted/team building, but some is actually dangerous/traumatic, especially with the amount of alcohol some of the frat guys are pressured into drinking. Frat parties are fun, and are basically the only way to go out on campus, unless you go to one of three bars, none of which are very good and all close by 1am.
