Values based recruitment

by: Mhm

It’s ok to acknowledge that recruitment isn’t 100% values based. Values matter a lot, but if sororities chose on values alone, this whole show of recruitment wouldn’t be necessary. You wouldn’t need to see the outfits and makeup, the door songs, the TikToks from chapters and PNMs, the instas, the resumes, etc. You wouldn’t need to know where they are from and what high school they went to. You wouldn’t need workweek. They could have phone interviews with voice changers and PNMs could be completely anonymous, going by their PNM number. But that’s not how it is because other things DO matter. Looks, friends, income, geography. They matter. To some chapters more than others but it is always a factor. Pretending that it’s all based on values does nobody any favors.

Everybody acknowledges all that. And there's nothing wrong with it. Find your tribe. Or not. Nobody's forcing anyone to rush.
