Reinhardt University - RU Overview

  About Greek Life at RU

Reinhardt University is a small private school in Waleska, Georgia, rooted in Methodist tradition and sitting at around 1,500 undergrads or so. With that kind of size, you're not looking at a massive Greek system here — it's a smaller, more intimate setup with a handful of chapters that are genuinely part of the campus community without dominating it.

Right now there are two fraternities and one sorority operating on campus. On the fraternity side, you've got Kappa Sigma and Tau Kappa Epsilon, both well-established national organizations. Zeta Tau Alpha is the sorority presence, also a major national name with a strong philanthropy focus — ZTA is well known nationally for its breast cancer awareness work, and that carries over into chapter-level programming wherever they're active. These chapters would fall under IFC and Panhellenic councils respectively, which is the standard structure for historically general fraternities and sororities at schools like this.

Because Reinhardt is a smaller campus, Greek life here is more of a close-knit thing than a scene that takes over the whole social calendar. Recruitment tends to be lower-key compared to what you'd see at a big SEC school — think personal conversations and smaller events rather than massive rush weeks with hundreds of people cycling through. That actually works in some people's favor if large, high-pressure recruitment settings aren't your thing.

On the housing front, Reinhardt doesn't have the kind of Greek Row you'd find at a flagship state university. Chapter activity tends to be centered around campus programming, events, and philanthropy rather than chapter houses. The school's setting — out in Cherokee County, away from a major city — also shapes the social culture, keeping things pretty campus-focused overall.

There's no NPHC or MGC presence listed on campus currently, so the Greek community is limited to the IFC and Panhellenic chapters for now.
