Well hang on there. A pnm's ranks only matter if more sororities would invite her back than a round allows, then her lower ranked houses would drop off her schedule. Otherwise, her ranks don't matter because the sororities' ranks of the pnm's are what determines who gets invited back. Pnm's who are ranked high enough by a chapter to make their cutoff number will be on their invitation list, those that don't make it will not. It doesn't matter how high a pnm ranks a sorority, it is not a factor in how a sorority ranks the pnm's; the sororities never see the pnm's ranks of them. Pref round is when a pnm's ranks are given equal weight to a sorority's ranks. Not making a sorority's cutoff is not a personal judgement on a pnm at all, and members get just as upset as pnm's when their favorite girls don't return.
