What to say if a convo gets awkward

During recruitment, if you are in a house and the convo gets awkward, what do you say? ALSO, what are good ways, not to gush, but to let the sisters know you can really see yourself there? THANKS!

You can be honest and say that you like it there. That you feel at home, etc. The girls rushing you just can’t say they see you there. During preference, they will ask you things like “are you torn between the two houses”? “Do you have a tough decision?” because they want you to give them a hint but can’t come out & ask directly.
