What is the appeal of these frats

by: Frat Question

I'm confused on the differences between these frats: SAE, Chi Phi, KA, Sigma Chi, and Sigma Nu. I know they are all "old row", but what sets them apart? Is it just how many in state they get?

They get a lot of Atlanta boys from high school connections, a lot of private schools.

I went to Westminster and a lot of boys went Phi Kap. Is that one of the rich private school fraternities too?

There is no old row.

If there was SX and especially SN would not be included, they don't have the heavy legacy driven rush, SN has little alumni support compared to even other New rows, both are also not protected by UGA from hazing. SX was almost suspended and SNu had to recharter in the early 2000s.

But again OR is a fake concept here and does not exist. This had to have been a sigma nu.

You don’t like the term old row. You can call it whatever you want to but there is an old clique which consist of 3 fraternities. They are the oldest, most established and carry the most weight. That may bother you but that is a fact . They run with girls from certain sorority houses 85- 90%. You don’t like the term Old Row. That’s fine. But, the clique exist and they are ALWAYS considered the top. SNU and SX are not part of that. Those three do socialize with SNU and SC bit they aren’t the old 3. BUT the old 3 exist and you clearly aren’t in one of those three. Sorry it bothers you. Why don’t you just enjoy whatever you are in.
