Srats Best Around

I keep seeing this sorority is best and this group of ten are all that matter. They get the good socials. The others aren't selective. There not southern enough. From what I can tell all these points are subjective.

Not southern enough yet 80% of UGA students are from Georgia.
Not selective enough yet most of the sororities get 90 girls. Where does selectivity stop at the seventh "best" sorority or the tenth, or thirteenth?
Not getting socials with the "right" fraternities. What if you think some of the fraternities that are at the top are a bunch of jerks? Do you care then that you don't have a social with them?

There is a sorority for everyone at UGA. They all have pretty girls. They all have social calendars with fraternities, date nights, semi-formals, and formals. And being in one is much better in my opinion than not being in one. No matter where they fall on the opinion of those who come here to create the tiers.

Once you are in a sorority you don't care about the other sororities anymore. Rush is over. You have found your people. The key is to let you determine who your people are and not be swayed by people you don't know (on this board) or barely know (other PNMs going through Rush).

What works for some does not work for everyone. Don't let other think for you. Make up your own mind and give every sorority a chance. They chose you not because they are not selective. But because they see that you have some similarities to them. How much will be determined as you go through rush and get down to your final choices.

Trust the process and trust your own eyes. Don't let others decide for you. That is a huge mistake.
