Just Go to Pref and
by: GoJust go to pref and have an open mind. Talk to other pnms there. Decide who you seem to vibe with, even though everyone is nervous, you can usually tell. Dare I say that college is not high school. You will not be branded as unworthy in the university community if your srat is not top dawg in some people's evaluations. And if anyone dismisses getting to know you because of your greek letters, are they even worthy of your time?

Great point about college not being high school. The place is way too big. If you join a "lower tier" srat once you get into it and are enjoying it you will not care what others think.
Because you won't be hanging around the other people who think they are better for being in an "upper tier" srat. There opinion will not be relevant to you.
Any girls you do hang out with from other srats will not care. They will identify with you more because you are in srat than if you weren't.
The ranking really does get over blown and cause far too much drama considering once you settle in the rankings become irrelevant.
