I think about 10-15% of those who withdraw from rush get snap bids--but don't forget that this is a percentage of 300 or 400 girls, and many of them are getting snaps from sororities that they withdrew because they didn't want. I'm getting this from statistics I've read from competitive rushes, so this is just a ballpark guess. I don't think this includes COB which is later.

Your figures are waaaaay too high. Snap bids are rare and should not be counted on.

You cannot rely on a snap bid. Best to stop worrying about rankings and have an open mind to those you have left. They are interested in you. Give them a chance. You might find they are better fit for you than you thought.

Snap bids only happen if a sorority doesn't match to quota during bid matching. This only happens consistently with a couple of chapters and rarely with any other. Snap bids are few and far between and a chapter that dropped you before pref is not going to turn around and offer you a snap. A snap bid is NOTHING TO COUNT ON.

I went through pref and has the two houses I ranked bottom. They were weird, awkward girls. They wanted me because of my GPA and told me flat out.. I dropped after pref. Then I got a snap bid on bid day from the house I dropped.. I didn’t accept. NG lie first few months not being in a house were rough. Because I looked like a sorority girl that was the first thing everyone asked me was. What house are you in? When I didn’t have a house, people literally turned their back and walked away, and I was like WTF? I had met some cool girls in class at one of the houses and I ended up getting a COB in October from a house I really liked. It wasn’t the ideal way to start my sorority experience missed out on bid day, but it worked out. There were not a lot of COB options in the spring. So glad to be in a house I like rather than settle.

Hearing Kappa is preparing for snap bids. Their return rate hasn’t been good.

Are sophomores less likely to receive snap bids because they don’t count for freshman quota?
