Srat “Diversity” is DROPPING
by: 2ndhandembarrassedNot that UGA sororities have ever been super diverse, but has anyone noticed the past couple years or so have reeeeally been headed in the wrong direction?? I swear some sororities like Tri Delt and GPhi had been doing better about modernization and inclusion, but even they’ve gone back to stereotypical white washing. If you’re rushing people, do better pls it’s embarrassinggg

Minority enrollment at uga has been on the decline for some years now and black enrollment is at an especially all time low at around 7.5%. And with more greek options than ever for black and multicultural students, there has been a steadily decreasing minority pool for NPC sorority recruitment. You can check the stats for yourself instead of just looking at social media pics.

Neither Panhellenic nor the individual sororities track this information. They also don't track pnm's religious affiliation, national origin, first generation status, s-ual orientation, parents' income, etc. 90% of all pnm's who start the recruitment process get a bid and the majority of the 10% who don't withdraw on their own. Draw your own statistical conclusions or continue with your own narrative.
