At bars, the problem is people are often too drunk, or it's hard to talk enough to make any kind of "connection", or people are with a group of friends.

That's true, but a lot of people hook up with others from the bar. At least a lot of fratters and sororityters (upperclassmen) do.

Idk if bars are very good for hookups. Pretty much everyone goes with a group of friends and ive never seen ppl go home with each other

Half and half. This is the south after all....Greek Life is pretty conservative and most hookups are hush hush and kept in the bedroom
