blackballing

So I'm rushing a few fraternities and I'm a little scared of being blackballed. I have a few houses that seem to fit me best and I'm just worried I'll find my supposed fit and get blackballed from there. Any tips?

A few fraternities still use a black ball system whereby one brother's vote against could keep a rushee or pledge from joining. I know Beta and Fiji do. I think Sig Do does, too. Many others empower the rush chairmen and his team to decide whether or not to extend a bid.
