Sorority Houses

by: SEC

The houses at TAMU are shacks compared to Arkansas and most SEC schools.

Yes and the Greek system here is so much smaller and funded to a much smaller degree. Being an Aggie here is a bigger deal than being in a sorority or a fraternity. They have 80 percent of their student body in Greeklife. TAMU has like 10 percent, maybe. Until that changes, the houses will be what the houses are.

No money for nicer houses when 500 out of 1400 girls dropped during formal recruitment this year.

Membership dues aren’t enough to cover the cost of a new house; you need alum support. A&M sororities need to build better connections with their alums.

You need 13 strong houses to keep that from happening. Thats the whole problem. There is a huge break between the top 11 and the bottom 2. Until there is more parity, that will continue to happen over and over.

We are land locked. Arkansas houses take up several acres. We all average about one acre. You can only build so much in such a small space.

That’s not the reason.

Aggie sorority chapters are smaller and our houses are smaller but at least we don't have 300 girls in a pledge class
