Ranking is Subjective
by: GggggggggggYall, let’s be so fr. Ranking is beyond subjective. The reality is that there are a ton of girls going through recruitment this year. There are only so many spots in the houses. The only reason houses like AOPi stay low is because there are so many girls who aren’t willing to give it a shot and make it good. Any chapter is only a pledge class or two away from either being really successful or really crappy. There will always be certain types of girls in every single house. If you end up in a “bottom” house, you can either decide to try and help build that chapter up or you can let your ego get in the way.

Birdies tell me AOII got shoved onto too many PNM schedules last year by panh leading to too many drop outs at the end plus reputation is bad and rumors of being kicked off row doesn’t help because they can’t pay the bills…look at fall Greek report and new member count it’s not good but bad so it’s not ego but money spent and time invested vs being associated with bad reputation because it’s not free to be in Greek life….PNMs don’t want to deal with breathing life into something that isn’t great to begin with at their expense, sorry

Just say you didn't think recruitment realities were going to apply to you. Panhellenic can't wave a magic wand put everyone into their top choice and as long as AOII is participating in recruitment, PNMs AGREE to going there

Nah. I'm in another house and pointing out the total hypocrisy of being on a site called "GREEK RANK" and then people acting personally insulted that there's a house that's ranked last. Like what do you people want? thirteen houses that are equally desirable to PNMs?
THEN WHY ARE YOU STILL RANKING HOUSES HERE

So then what do you suggest? They get kicked off and then what? We bring in another sorority and see if it fairs any better? The way people feel about AOPi isn’t much different than how people felt about ADPi in the not so distant past. With the numbers of girls wanting to rush, it was clear that the system needed another chapter. So how does our current system make AOPi work? I don’t disagree with any of what you are saying BUT I definitely think ego has a part in it. Maybe their nationals should get more involved? ADPi got a lot of national support and local alumnae support and that seemed to really turn things around for them.
