Honest opinion on StuMo?

Honestly what I have experienced you are not far off.Its not that they won’t talk to you but stumo very highly encourages people to go to their 2 month camp over the summer called kaleo.Honestly SMC is great honestly just being honest but from what I personally experienced kaleo wasn’t the best and it was like that for many others.As for Stumo being a cult that simply just isn’t accurate I think they have good values and morals but it can be viewed as culty when in reality it is not and the people there are good people.

Run. Please… i tried to be involved with them several years ago but got completely ostracized when i told them I couldn’t go to kaleo. They completely cut me off and never really spoke to me again other than small talk if we happened to bump into each other. StuMo is a ministry that is focused on money and numbers rather than on actually pushing college kids to have a relationship with jesus. I have felt much closer to jesus thru church and my mentor than I ever did because of stumo.

Please run far away from them. Please.

They are very culty imo. I knew quite a few people who would get involved in stumo and then cut off almost all of their friends from before who weren't in it. They seem to push their members to adopt their specific "correct" way of life completely.
