Recruitment drops have nothing to do with COB. COB is for the sororities to keep their memberships equitable, not to place pnm's. Chapter Total is set after bid day based on the chapters' new membership numbers. Any house below that number can COB up to Total. Has nothing to do with accommodating more pnm's.

Quota additions, not COB, is the term when you take over quota during recruitment to get to total.

Quota Additions are how a chapter takes over Quota and a chapter doesn't 'decide' to take them, they are just part of bid matching after pref. It is how every pnm who ranks both her pref houses, or just the one if that's all she has, is guaranteed a bid, even when it puts a chapter over Quota. Chapters that have to carry more pnm's from round to round end up with the most pnm's at pref and end up the most over quota. It helps the pnm's and the chapters that need members.

That is not true. My chapter filled quota, and then decided to take additional members after the match.
It did not happen from the match.

COB comes after bid day not during recruitment.
